Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Doctrinal StatemenT
The Scriptures: We believe that the Scriptures containing both the Old and New Testaments are inspired and preserved by God. As such, they are the final authority for faith and practice. The Authorized King James Bible is the only translation used in all preaching and teaching at Bible Baptist Church. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21)
God: We believe in a triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost all equally apart of the God -head. God is the sovereign creator and ruler of the universe.
The Person and Work of Christ: We believe that Jesus is the only begotten son of God and was born of the virgin Mary. He lived a perfect life and was the sinless sacrifice needed to atone for the sins of the whole world. He bodily arose from the grave three days later and ascended back to heaven where now he is our Great High Priest and mediator. We look for His personal, premillennial, and imminent return.
The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit: We believe the Holy Spirit to be co-equal with the Father and the Son. He was sent by the father to reprove the world of sin, judgement, and righteousness. He regenerates those who come to Christ for salvation. Upon salvation, He enables the believer to be a witness for the Lord Jesus Christ. We reject the charismatic movement. The sign gifts such as speaking in tongues, working of miracles, and prophesy were temporary gifts. (John 14:16-17)
Mankind: We believe than man was created in the image of God. Adam willfully sinned against God’s command and thus fell from that state and was separated from God. Today, all of the human race are sinners by birth and by choice. (Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12)
Satan: We believe in a personal devil that cast out of heaven. He is the enemy of God and prince of the air. He has already been judged and one day will be cast into the lake of fire. (Revelations 20:10; Ephesians 6:12)

Salvation: We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. This free gift is available to all because of the price Jesus paid on the cross as He died for the sins of the whole world. We reject the heresy of Calvinism. (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6)
Separation: We believe in Biblical separation. This means that as believers we are to be separated from sin, self, and Satan and separated unto God. (2 Corinthians 6:17)
Eternity: We believe that heaven and hell are both literal places as the only eternal abodes. All those who have been saved will live with God in Heaven for eternity. All of those who reject Christ will spend eternity in the torments of hell.
Church Membership: We believe that local congregations consist of born again believers who have been scripturally baptized by full immersion. We are to worship, labor, and fellowship together. We believe the only two church ordinances are baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Missions: We believe that it is the responsibility of every believer to be involved in sharing the gospel with every creature. We do that by our personal witness and by financially and prayerfully supporting that go where we cannot go. (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8)
